Mission
Our mission at the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps is to develop and empower our students to be active and concerned citizens who advocate life-saving skills. Our training program aims to impart civil defence knowledge and skills to students as well as develop and mould their character and leadership qualities. In addition, we aim to imbue in students an awareness of homeland security through National Education and community service.
Experience
Students who are enrolled in NCDCC can look forward to participating in a large range of exciting and varied programs. These include:
- Participation in large-scale parades
School National Day Parade and Observance Ceremony, Singapore Civil Defence Force Day Parade
- Visits to Civil Defence Force establishments
Fire stations, Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team Base
- Visits to places that facilitate National Education
Singapore Discovery Centre educational program and National Heritage Trails
- Community Service
Service Month, Emergency Preparedness Day, Kids Read at My First Skool
- Lesson package in school
Total defence, fire safety, rescue theory, first aid theory, footdrills
- Lessons conducted by professional SCDF personnel or SCDF-endorsed agencies
CPR/AED training, Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association, Homefront Security Course and the various Specialisation Courses
- Overseas Educational Visit to South East Asian countries such as Hong Kong
- Competitions
Precision Drill Competition, Urban Adventure Civil Defence Challenge and Inter-School Games Day, among others.
